Cassandra Monique Batie aka Andra Day is a American R&B/Soul singer-songwriter. She is the recipient of numerous awards including the Grammy Award a Children's and Family Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award along with nominations for the Academy Award. Andra is not simply an old-fashioned R&B artist, but also a gospel singer. Her blues and jazz can be heard in a style which is effortless as well as stylish.
