Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American performer and actress, is quite well-known. Sara Ramirez was brought up by her American mother and was subjected to a variety of racist taunts that led her to feel unwelcome. It was during her ninth year that she started to feel more confident following her acclaim at an audition. Not only did it boost her confidence but her dreams changed. She was a graduate of New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. In the year 23 she began her career making her first appearance on Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films featuring You've Got Mail. The greatest achievement of her career was in the role of The Lady of The Lake on Spamalot's original Broadway production. Not only did she get the Tony Award, but her performance was also highly praised by critics. Later that year, as Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy on ABC, she gained greater fame. The actress is also a renowned artist and published an extended version of her play. Additionally, she works as a LGBT activist.
